Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
