Live Feed

Starting Lap Time

The warm-up lap is underway.

Circuit Details

We have 19 laps of the longest circuit in F1, the commentator informs us.

Final Moments

The last moments is on.

Racer Positions

An advantage in Max Verstappen's advantage: his fellow driver Tsunoda is in front of him by one place. He is unlikely to mess with the team's main man.

Media Conversations

Sky's internal discussion now: the analyst is with Mercedes.

Karun Chandhok is jumping ahead to 2026, speaking with Adrian Newey about his stepping up to the team team principal.

Starting Positions

Just sixteen vehicles on the grid. This followed another poor grid-setting session for the driver: after coming twentieth and final in the previous race, resulting in an eighth-place finish in the grand prix, he failed to make it out of Q1 once more on Friday. Ferrari have consequently made changes to his setup and so he begins from the pit lane.

The team's Lance Stroll and the Alpine duo of Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto are all doing likewise.

Driver Comments

"We take the experience for the next day," says Isack Hadjar, starting eleventh. Expect plenty of learning.

Team Standings

The focus isn't solely on the drivers' title: The team have dominated the team championship but Mercedes, with a forty-point advantage over Red Bull, will be hoping to seal second place this weekend. Russell can help them achieve that from second place, and Antonelli will start just behind Verstappen.

Past Performance

Piastri was victorious then – as he did the previous season, as well. The driver from McLaren is attempting a third consecutive win.

Short Race Importance

Right, approximately twenty minutes to go till the short race gets under way. Barring disaster, it's greatest value is as an indication of future events, rather than significant in its own right, with just eight championship points awarded to the winner. Mind you, the runner-up spot in this race was sufficient for the driver to claim the title in a prior season.

Max Verstappen claimed F1 world title after his teammate's accident of the short race.
